The loop, not a route

ANOMALITH beginner guide

Steam prints the verbs. Reviews argue about whether guns outclass melee. Neither source is a ranked shopping list, so this page does not become one.

This introduction summarizes the public dive-and-return loop and base systems. Advice attributed to a review or wiki remains that source’s observation rather than a first-hand recommendation from this site.

Dive, retrieve, return

Steam names the loop Dive, Retrieve, Return. You fight anomalies, manage ammunition, pick what to bring out, and reach an extraction. Inven’s review says death in a boss fight restarts at the current phase checkpoint rather than the whole fight. That checkpoint note is from Inven’s PS5 preview.

Nintendo’s official description gives 12 powers and nine gear slots, with appearance separable from stats. Gamerch supplies the five-group classification; that classification is a single-wiki detail. Gamerch alone lists six attachment classes: foregrip, muzzle, stock, magazine, sight, and laser sight. Skills are learned at a base computer with materials and a currency Gamerch calls OV. The producer interview on 163.com says skills do not change the story.

Difficulty, without a fake tier list

Steam’s categories include adjustable difficulty. A demo update added a Survival rule that Game Watch describes as one-hit death, aimed at people who have already cleared. Survival is not described here as the default difficulty. Game8 and Inven both treat guns as stronger than melee. That is a criticism, not a build order. PlaySphere suggests practicing aim on the body before turning aim assist off. One source. No “must-grab” weapon.

Questions people ask

What should I upgrade first?

No first-craft priority is established by these sources. The public pages agree that the base is where guns, gear, and skills are developed. They do not agree on a priority, because most of them never publish one.

Does using a skill lock me out of an ending?

The producer interview says skills do not affect the story. That is one source. Steam does not contradict it in the text we read.
