Influence, not a remake
ANOMALITH and Resident Evil 4
The comparison exists because the producer named the older game. It is an editorial note. No outlet published a head-to-head review in the set we used.
The Resident Evil 4 connection comes from a producer interview and Inven’s review. The comparison does not claim a shared story, direct playtesting, or a measured difficulty difference.

What was actually said
The 163.com interview with producer Kei Kidokoro says the team took cues from Resident Evil 4 and from extraction shooters, and that they deliberately reduced how hardcore the result is. That interview is one source. Inven’s review says the game uses the over-the-shoulder adventure frame associated with the original Resident Evil 4: shooting, puzzles, and resource pressure. Inven also notes boss deaths restart the current phase.
Systems those pieces attach to ANOMALITH and not to that RE4 description: anomalization skills, a dive-and-extract loop, and a 20–25 hour main path from Game8 and the same interview. US list price before discount was $49.99. No measured claim that ANOMALITH is scarier or harder follows from those sources.
Questions people ask
Do I need to play Resident Evil 4 first?
Nothing on the ANOMALITH store page says so. The influence is a production note, not a plot prerequisite.
Is this about the Resident Evil 4 remake?
The sources name Resident Evil 4. They do not discuss a remake in the sentences we used, so this page does not either.
